Find and FSM and go through the process of checking the kickdown cable adjustment. If this is way off the truck will run horribly. Hard to diagnose from afar but that would be the first thing I would check.

usually there is a valve to compensate for the rear drum brakes I believe, but that's in fj40's......

I am wondering what the difference is between the stock master and the non abs master? Does anyone know if the abs master have a limiter for the rear circuit in it?
