I personally don't think you are giving up much, if anything. I go off road, but on the trails, in the mountains of Colorado as well as farms and ranches here in Texas.
Never had any issues or something I thought "Oh I sure wish I had that nice hard front axle on an 80 to beat me up, instead...
I don't hate the looks, but prefer the 200's.
I see the use case for torque and lighter/smaller body.
Long and short, I will be keeping my 2018 for the foreseeable future. However, if it were to meet a tramatic ending I would give the 250 serious consideration.
Just a point of reference. I got the P0441 Touble code on my way back from Colorado on the highway in the Texas oven but first smelled the gas while doing some trails near Breckenridge.
Eventually the code cleared itself and since I was in 4Hi it didn't matter really, I had a scan tool at the...
What were the temps in Colorado and then Texas when the light came on? Colorado Temp when we smelled gas about 68-70. Texas about 85-90 when the light came on.
And you don’t have an Aux tank? Correct, no Aux Tank.
I do have Bud Built aluminium skids and sliders, only thing I believe could be relevant. But out of completeness, ARB front bumper, Warner Winch, Baja Design LP6 spots, ARB dual compressor, rear locker.
Wouldn't say we were crawling but certainly not highway speeds either on a trip to Crystal...
We actually were in Breckenridge, Colorado all week, but the issue happened on the way back to Dallas. When the check engine light came on we were well into Texas, I don't recall exactly but probably close to Electra, Texas (approximatey 1220 ft according to google).

Anyone have this trouble code and smell of gas in and around the vehicle? What was the solution?
I have checked the gas cap to make sure it was properly placed on the tank, so reasonably sure that was not the issue.
Replace purge valve something more serious?
Looking at Youtube the...
Stupid question and I am sure that the search function would answer this but at what mileage should the radiator and waterpump be replace. I am about 75K and on the original?
In AllTrails, Lower Crystal lake was listed as "Hard", it was tight but it didn't seem that technical or difficult. Not saying a Kia Sole could make it. I do have a 2.5 inch lift and 34s as well as armor under and sliders, so that did boost my confidence. It was a nice well marked trail that...
Just down from Lower Crystal Lake.
Trail was definitely narrow and rocky with lots of undulations and some large dips, low water crossings but nothing difficult.
The LC never had any drama or issue. Lock the rear and center diffs, put in 4Lo and loose rock.
Would have taken the road...
I use my sunroof and leave it open while driving if the temp is below 85-90 which its not in Dallas these days.
Glad it came with one, wouldn't pay extra for it but since it was there anyway nice perk.
