OK so i just got the tool roll and now waiting for materials to start reproduction. While waiting im replicating the parts list. the original parts list i got with the roll was rubbed through at the bottom thee items on the list. does anyone here know what the last three items on this list are?

here are pics of the roll and the list im working on. List still needs a little fine tuning...

Also were these rolls two tone? this one looks to be khaki with light green pockets and flaps. anyone know exact material for this one?

That looks sweet! Are you planning on selling those? Nice job.

From my 1968 toolkit - #10, Nozzle, grease pump. #11, Pump, grease. #12, Adjust kit, engine. #13, operation manual. Nice product, let me know when you have got the content list down - I'll be in the market for one.
Carry on!

11 Pump, grease 1
12 Adjust kit engine 1
13 Operation manual 1

ah 68 beat me to it:D

Just for reference, this is the earlier card with 23 mm hub nut wrench and some other differences.

I believe they were one color and material, however they've all aged differently. Not 100% on that though. :hhmm:

there was a later card too that had a different style with the wording and size placement.

I can't believe they put inches on it back then

Sweet! I can make these too. if you want a certain style shoot me a PM and ill send you my email for HQ pics/measurements.

Labels certainly look great to me......Awesome job......

I might be telling you something you already know but here are some of my thoughts:

You might try to find some #10 size canvas or around 12 ounces for these.....
Canvas Tarp suppliers online can sell the fabric in yardage versus a completed tarp...
Check and see what type of finish the fabric has...many will have a paraffin/wax treatment
for water resistance......It smells good too.......Would probably be good for a tool bag....

The term "army duck" can be used very loosely when looking for canvas so be aware of what you're getting......

18 ounce is nice but might be too heavy after you start adding layers for pocket, flaps, etc.......

Try to make your own binding out of the same material if you can......That way its a spot on match....

Edit: Oh....just saw you've already ordered materials......I'm a quick one today.....

You can buy a tool for around 7 bucks that helps make your own bias binding out of 2 inch canvas strips....It folds the fabric and you pull the fabric through it.....you iron it as it comes out the tool......

Otherwise, you can buy premade binding thats prefolded and glued so its ready to use.....You can also use 1" webbing as an edge binding.....That works really well and you can hot knife the ends/corners if you need......

You can also buy a binder attachment for your sewing machine that feeds the binding as you feed the fabric through the machine (around $45) but that might not be necessary for the short lengths you'll be doing.....

Size 16 needle should be ok for a 12 ounce canvas......Buy good needles (schmetz) and change them often.....Thread - Try to get a good outdoor upholstery thread.......I have used od green and black for OD green fabric...........I have some OD Green Army pieces which black thread was used.....Not sure what OEM Toyota would have been.....I imagine it was same color.as fabric.....

A lot of my work has been trial and error and a work in progress trying and trying again to find the best way to do what I'm doing so someone may have some different opinions.....which is more than fine.......

Thanks for the haeds up! I ordered some real OD green the other day which has the same texture, close to thread count, and overall feel to what i got. The shop is ordering samples of the tan and khaki for color matching. also were these ever done in light green? id like to provide people period correct color so they can stay as true to their era as possible. Now that the lists are done ill post those up in the classifieds.

thanks again for the info.

here are scans.. the whiter one is from superdupercruiser's 65. the brown weather one I don't remember where i got it from.
