Hello everyone,
With some reluctance, I’ve decided to put my LC100 up for sale.
I purchased the truck at the beginning of 2026 shortly after relocating from the UK to the US for work. At the time, I wanted something I could buy outright while establishing my US credit history, and a well-kept LC100 seemed like the perfect answer, as I've owned a few in the past.
Since taking ownership, I’ve gone through the truck with the intention of keeping it for the long term. The previous owner had already done an excellent job addressing many of the common LC100 age-related items. I focused on proactively refreshing the larger mechanical components for complete peace of mind.
Importantly, these were not repairs prompted by failures. My approach was simply: if I’m going to own a 26-year-old Land Cruiser, I want to know exactly where I stand mechanically and have confidence in it for the next 200,000 miles.
All of the work during my ownership has been carried out by a local Toyota/Land Cruiser specialist here in Austin.
I’ve driven approximately 4,000 road miles since purchasing it. Despite my original intentions, I haven’t even managed to take it off-road—just one overnight camping trip to Padre Island. I don't commute, so the truck has primarily been a weekend vehicle.
The condition remains excellent, including the interior and leather. I hand-wash it myself and it is kept in covered apartment parking, away from the Texas sun.
So why sell it?
My circumstances have changed sooner than expected. Having now established my US credit, I have the opportunity to move into an LC200 Heritage Edition that I’ve been looking at. My wife also prefers the idea of something newer, so we’ve reached the inevitable automotive “compromise.”
I’m offering the LC100 here first because I’d genuinely prefer it to go to another Land Cruiser enthusiast who understands what these trucks are about.
If it doesn’t sell here, I’ll likely list it on Bring a Trailer or Cars & Bids. Comparable low-mileage LC100s have sold for considerably more, but I’ve deliberately priced this one realistically because I have a relatively short window to complete the LC200 purchase.
For anyone interested in the truck’s history, this is the original listing from when I purchased it earlier this year:
