Greetings all,
I try to get out of this business and somehow I keep getting dragged back into it! I don’t post on here very often, but I have sold a couple of vehicles here in the past, and over the last 12 years I’ve personally owned 180 Land Cruisers. This post is simply to provide some background and a link to the full ad.
I bought this car in 2017 with 72k miles. Due to a busy schedule, it sat inside my warehouse for long stretches and was driven sparingly. I put roughly 6,000 miles on it over several years. In 2020, I sold it to a friend who kept it garaged, drove it about 2,000 miles, and later returned it to me when he needed a larger vehicle. I drove it again for a period before selling it to the current owner in 2024 with 80k miles. Since then, it has been garaged in New Mexico and driven approximately 4,000 miles. The current owner asked me to sell it after inheriting another vehicle and not wanting this one to sit outside.
To address questions up front, this is a three-owner car. I am a dealer and never titled it. It now has 84k original miles and carries a clean New Mexico title. Please note that the Carfax shows “minor damage” dated 11/02/2017. The vehicle was not involved in an accident, and I know this because I was driving it at the time. I was turning left on a protected green arrow into my office park when the gentleman in front of me stopped suddenly in the intersection. The bumper made light contact with his trailer hitch. Why did he stop mid-turn, you ask? He had a HEART ATTACK!! His vehicle sustained zero damage, while my front bumper cover received an imprint from his trailer hitch ball, which I replaced. I saved the original bumper cover in my warehouse and have photos available for anyone who wants to see it. I have contested this with CARFAX, but it has yet to be resolved, because “Forget it, Jake. It’s Chinatown.” For anyone wondering, the EMS personnel who arrived said he had an arrhythmia and would be “okay.” This, and only this, is the reason the incident was documented. Oh yeah, and he also looked a lot like Santa Claus.
This is a California car that has never lived in salt or harsh winter climates. It has always been garaged and carefully maintained. All service and refurbishment were performed in-house using OEM Toyota parts. Mechanically and cosmetically, it needs nothing.
I no longer operate my Land Cruiser shop and now work in automotive finance, but this was my personal weekend vehicle for years. The full ad contains significantly more detail, photos, and service information, so I’ll defer to that rather than repeat everything here.
For those who have reached out previously about parts, thank you. I’m much quicker to respond to texts than emails, though I do my best with both. My cell number is 817-819-3210, and I’m happy to answer any questions.
