Thanks...change the rims for oem steel and hub caps, put new brakes, fluids, paint bumpers to original color, put ac to work, gas and hit the road, this will be my DD so my other 40 can rest just for the trail runs

You're killin' me Eshu! I always wanted a japanese shift plate, never really see them.

Looks like the Japanese FJs kept the early dash much longer than the US models.

yes i notice the dash style, also the engine have the sticker that read F 130...i have to add more pics

I have seen the F130 valve cover decal once in person....on a fire engine motor I imported about 15 years ago, As I recall, it looked like an F145 US model engine [as opposed to the F135 engine it would be numerically closer to]

From the research I did at the time, I was given to understand that the F130 was a tall-blocked F145, meaning it had lower compression than it's US brother. I don't remember if I ever checked the block height before I sold it to a buddy. I would be very curious for you to do a block height check on this one when you have a chance.

Cool rig regardless!

Best

i will check the block and posted here, later i will have a few questions regardless of the brakes, clutch master, etc.

Pretty cool actually.

Maybe this vehicle belonged to a fire house or at least a fire fighter? It has a Fire Council sticker on the rear window... ;)

What is that odd orange light under the left tail light? Same place as an OEM trailer plug...

Digging the ladder. Know it has me thinking on how to copy it.

Head rests on a 70. Floor mat looks like it may have come from the factory that way. Spare tire carrier on the left side and barn doors open the other way. Fender mounted mirrors. Is that a brake booster infront of the battery? Power brakes were a year away here. A/C could have been installed at the factory. Or at least before it was imported to the US. I doubt many Nippon Denso A/Cs were installed in a Land Cruiser here as after market. I think this must have been a top of the line FJ40 when new. Probably only offered in the local market. Or maybe to the oil rich countries of the Middle East.

Coolerman..the orange lights as the PO told me was added in USA for hazard lights-have and orange switch at the dash, but i have to check later all the electrical system. First owner in Japan was a professional photographer that maybe he order or made himself the interior wood -lights work. Does have 2 Straps that i guess its for the rear passenger to hold it...

Bad...i like that type of ladders, also came with a low profile roof rack, heavy as **that its bolted to the roof, not to the rails, but i have to check its some kind of plates to hold the weight from the inside. all those came direct from Japan already installed. I post a picture of the ladder base from inside.

living...Is that a brake booster in front of the battery? as far as i know..its a booster. Hoses from the intake where the Transfer case also take air. Check the air compressor brand. Also its common that they came with a fresh air vent that open behind the hood? it does have a pull cable knob.

That s why i love this web page,i learn every day with you guys.

I believe the spare tire its came from factory...700-7.60 x15 6 ply Toyo brand ,and its correct the white color rims for that year ? There a 12 volt outlet next to the glove compartment
