Wanted to say hey, and thanks for having me on the board. Looks like a boatload of info here just like Pirate.
Well I bid on this thing on Ebay, won it and picked it up. Only 3 miles from my house. Go figure. Right under my nose the whole time. Not knowing alot about Crusier specifics. He listed it as a 1970 and you would figure as much with no title and the only vin plate on the inner fender saying 1970. I fould the frame ID # and ran that and it says Oct. 65'. Cool.
Got it for $310 bucks.
All that has been done so far is vacuum and cleaned the windows. Needs work, but not a WHOLE lot. I would like for just a grocery getter 33x9.50's 2.5" lift and keep everything else as vintage as possible. I have my pickup for hardcore trails. This may see some bunny trails open open. Only thing that I don't like that I would want to change is manual disk brakes all the way around. So front axle swap is needed. and maybe power steering.
Right now I dont know if I want to pull the tub, and go all out right from the start or not.
Would be swapping the axle and springs anyway. give me a good chance to go over the frame, interior and engine compartment. Save the exterior body work and paint for down the road. Frame has no rust, pans are solid, engine not seized. (needs everything though)
Just need to give this TLC a little TLC. we will see how it turns out.
