Been back on the road about a year and half now and finally found some time to install a radio so I get to cruise again with tunes, still have to pinch myself now and then I get to ride in this thing again. Back then Green Day’s Dookie got tons of play time in the tape deck, Whitey Morgan is the jam these days. I remember driving back from Tahoe and tons of dead came on the air and my buddy Doolittle woke up in the back seat and said did Jerry Die? We were bummed.

It’s a cheap blue tooth deal from Amazon, pioneer 5” in the doors (with spacers) and a marine antenna. Sounds good.

Also replaced the radiator (napa) it finally sprung a leak after 45 years.

that antenna came out fantastic!

Love the t100! I have allways thought they were underrated. Also looks like your place has a fantastic view!
It really does. We are so lucky!

Took it out of storage and R. Kelly'd my trucklites just because I like the look. I now get a golden shower of light at night.

Also threw on a set of 1969 plates (all legal like), relocated the rear plate mount and wired up a new light.

I was root'n thru my shelves and found a loose steering wheel that is in better condition than my original 1975 wheel. The PO must have had a handful of class rings or brass knuckles and pounded the crap out of the wheel. I found most folks that restore the wheel clean, fill, sand and paint the wheel. I didn't want to go that deep, so I spent several hours cleaning, sanding and polishing it. Of course, once you remove the original wheel you'll find a 50 yr old turn signal switch. So I cleaned and regreased it too.

I finally got my engine started back up after replacing my rear main seal, oil pan, and rebuilding the carburetor. I've ran into a few issues:

1. Once I started the engine, I noticed heavy white smoke coming out of the tail pipe. One important note is that I did not notice any visible white smoke prior to these projects. The white smoke was accompanied by a dark liquid that smelled like gas.
2. I noticed some bubbling by the intake manifold.
3. Fuel is leaking out of the pin at the base of the carburetor

Your carb appears to be over fueling or internally leaking. The float or some other adjustment or assembly isn't right. The pin is the throttle plate pivot shaft. The white smoke could be just condensation and the black is likely from a rich condition.

I checked my oil level after running it and it looked fine. I'll double-check again.

The engine manual for my 1972 shows 3 different options for carburetors (FJ, FA, FJ, FA). Mine is the FJ, FA type as indicated by a discharge weight. When reassembling my carb, the directions for the float said it should measure 4.1mm. I recall having to adjust the measurement quite a bit from where it was previously to get 4.1mm. Also of note is that my primary and secondary venturies looked identical.

Taking this over to my build thread as not to fill up this one with my own personal tech issues Ryan's 40 AKA "Bandit" Any additional help over there would be appreciated.
