About to get rid of stock Michelin HTs and searching for an upgrade tire on stock 2013 LX 20" rims.

I am 99% on-road and care most about high-speed performance, ride and noise, so am likely going P-rated for comfort/weight.
That said, I tow a small skiff to gravel and dirt ramps and hunt a lot of potholed, wet forest service roads, so a pure highway performance tire is not ideal.
Want to go slightly larger to fill wheel wells, but not interested in cutting fender flares or heavy rubbing.

Leaning towards Michelin Defender LTX (maybe new one?), Cooper Discoverer AT3 4S, Conti TerrainContact A/T in 275/55/20 or 275/60/20.

Any strong opinions / scientific comparisons? Thanks in advance!

I personally would avoid the Cooper AT3 4S. I have them on my Sequoia right now and have had nothing but issues with them. Can't wait until they wear out and I can put Michelin Defender LTX M/S2s on it.

if you get cooper at3s, get the LT ones. the 4s ones are soft compound that some people have wear issues with.

i'd get the Michelins
