Testing a Warn Motor? (1 Viewer)

Looking for advice,

Im trying to test this motor and Im not sure if I have it right.

The positive jumper is on F1 the Negative lead is on A and Im using a jumper wire to join F2 and A.

Its just shorting out when I hook it up?
Am I testing it wrong?
Is there something Im missing?

I got the multimeter out and it appears that the 'A' terminal is grounded to the motor housing and that doesnt seem right?
 
I tested mine and made this so hope it helps, you seem to have a problem and need to replace the motor, I attached - to the original points (not A) and disconnected +:
