Ive got some unwanted FOX stickers that the PO plastered all over my XR650. They are fixed to the plastic parts like the mudguards and plastic side panels ,so I am a little wary of using heat.

I'm planning on selling it to pay for a larger road bike and want to tidy it up a little before I advertise it.

Any ideas?

I've heard Goo Gone works well but haven't used it.

WD 40 will melt the adhesive. just don't let it get on any painted metal parts.

I will try that. I also have some painters solvent that will dissolve the adhesive if you can get the corners of the stickers up.

use a heat gun, hair dryer or put the bike in the sun. Remove any residue with mineral spirits. Depending on how long the stickers have been in place there may be a difference in the texture of the plastic as stickers prevent scratches.
