Now that I’m 40, it’s time to slow down. And the best way to do that is to drop my transmission and transfer case for a Valley Hybrids Orion! Before I can step back on the Rubicon, my gearing needs to drop. So here is step one, removing the old to prep for the new.

I Need An Orion Transfer Case for the FJ40. I "Easily" Remove The Old One...

I will say I am not a fan of hanging the Orion off the back of trans with no other support, I like the AA propeller mounts or variants of it with bushings.

Have to chat with Georg about that. Didn’t have a plan really, so I’m open to upgrades.

Just trying to give hope to the idiots (people like me) out there!
Still some of the best stuff on Youtube... super enjoyable to watch. Keep it up!

“A real drain thing” 😂

Those bibs though…

Interesting. I've never had to remove the ebrake or cover (titty) to pull a transmission/t-case. Or for that matter the rear engine mounts (although removing them is quick and easy and makes sense).
