newbie questions-considering purchase (1 Viewer)

I am an 80 guy but thinking about adding a gx to the fleet for the . I was thinking 03-06. I couldnt find a facts and questions in your forum. Is there any big differences for the years? Things to watch out for?
If you can direct me to threads to read up on that would be the best.
The GX would be a dd and fire road rig for family trips.
Any suggestions about packages not worth the extra money?
Or ones that definitely need to come with?
The really likes the looks of some of the lifted ones.

I barely even look at mine (that I purchased for the wife). I think the older ones don't have KDSS. Also, when we were on the hunt, I noticed that a lot the 03's had cracked dashes. In stock form the GX is so reliable that I honestly don't ever tinker with it. (My 100 Series get all the mods and I know it like the back of my hand).

I think the vvt V-8 started in '06 (about 30 more HP, a little more torque). 2007 and up have an updated NAV, but you can update the pre '07 NAV pretty easily to 2010-2011. '07 and up have gun metal colored rims and more chrome (door handles, roof rack supports). If you do get one with NAV, just know that it runs EVERYTHING--HVAC, radio, DVD, etc). Upgraded Levinson stereo is NICE.
