Looks likes it’s throwing gear oil after a few hundred mile road trip and rear axle service.

I imagine I screwed up the oil seal on reinstall. Planning on tearing apart and replacing seals, inspecting bearings this weekend.

Any other potential culprit other than the seal install?

The seal is definitely the issue but you need to check that the gear oil hasn't compromised the brake pads.

Maybe check your rear axle breather also while you're in there.

If the inner axle seal goes, can gear oil not show up on the outside of the hub but around the disc and brake caliper? I have oil spray on the inside of the tire, on the disc and caliper. I originally thought it was a caliper leak but not so sure now as the caliper piston seal wasn't wet with brake fluid. But looking at the design on the inner oil seal it seems like it would be hard for the oil to leak around this way.
