I will relay an incident that solved my similar issue. This was w/my 40, & I wouldn't suggest this until you run out of ideas, but it did solve my problem.
The firewall valve 'appeared' to function properly when I pulled the cable, moved etc., but I had exausted all other possibilities known to mankind...so even tho it looked ok, I took the valve off the firewall & found I was unable to blow thru it, even when I moved the valve by hand. A new valve solved my problem.
