Hi All-
I wanted to share a product we are launching in late April or mid-May.
It's the 2-Port Lower Thermostat housing for the 60 series that require smog compliance. We will have the item listed at $89.99.
The factory casting this part for...
The chrome on these aftermarket grills is very thin. Nothing like the original Toyota grill. It will corrod too. What I found to really keep both the chrome and plastic looking sharp was to wipe them down with linseed oil occasionally. It keeps...
I’ll fit all these items in the next week. I’ll take pics. All of my front end will be aftermarket reproduction for the brightwork and lights.
I’m using depo/lucid markers and turns,
And I’ll fit the new bezels and grille when it all comes in.
My guess is that there’s only one manufacturer.. it’s too expensive to create the plastic mold for such a limited market.
My guess? They are all identical. Buy the cheapest one.
(But I don’t have any evidence to back up this claim).
We will never wheel. I’m debating about even putting a front driveshaft in.
This is full grandma spec. Original owner was a school teacher. Can’t make it up.
I bent my tail pipe up on the 60 on purpose.
I need to do something about the throttle linkage.
The pedal characteristics are awful, it’s heavy and sticks in position when pushing the pedal down. It feels like I have to push so hard to get the pedal to depress, that I am literally...
I used to obsess about it, I don’t any more.
I put 15w40 of any form in it and it’s fine. Mobil 1 15w50 used to be high zinc but not sure any more.
I think the high zinc is a must for break in if a new camshaft, but at this point nothing has...
292,000 miles, bb desmog but still has new catalytic converters, cleaned and refreshed injectors and a tune up. Runs and idles perfectly at 650 ac off.
5 speed, 4.11 and 28” tall tires.
It’s a really fun truck to drive. It accelerates almost...
Got it ready for the first hard drive after the 5 speed swap. Did some bright work updates: new used bumper, turn signals and side markers. Got it all ready for inspection.
Had it up to about 80mph and the temp gauge started to climb above 3/4...
I took off my wheels and painted them black. They only came primed and they had faded a lot. Also took off the spare tire carrier and basket to grease the spindle they open on.
(apparently my iphone takes too good/big of pics so having trouble...
You might consider neutralizing the vinegar after. Even a low concentration of baking soda and distilled water. Vinegar is good at its job, sometimes, too good.
