I am very excited to share that my Prado is finally got a confirmed booking and ETA to Vancouver in early March. I am trying to do most of the stuff myself. Any one has any idea what's the process like at taking delivery out of the port?
So far I understand I will have to go to CBSA pay duty and GST. Then have to book a CBSA inspector to inspect the vehicle? Where the custom broker involved? Do I need an custom broker?
I am planing to visit Alberta registry to get an temporary transit permit? I like to use that drive the car back to Alberta and get an out of province inspection done and get a plate after.
So far this is the rough idea I got and any help on more details on what's the process is like would be much appreciated.
