Nice welding job... Mark, next time, make him break out the angle grinder and clean up those welds like you would expect a professional welder that does this for a living to do.

i am looking for ideas on HD skid plates, did you end up fabbing one?

Dave built one that needs some... um... adjustments still. I'll be getting the truck to him this fall for a new front bumper and at that time I hope the skid plate will be finalized...
