SFROMAN
SILVER Star
I saw online that an NC Toyota group is doing a beach day at fort fisher 4wd beach on July 29, 2023.
Got me thinking. We need a beach day or two this summer.
Does anybody else want to go to the beach?
We can do July 29 or pick our own Saturday.
(Regardless, I plan to go out there on that date and at least 2 more times this summer)
Notes:
Fort fisher 4wd beach requires a fee
You will need a functioning 4wd to get to on the beach
You should probably have recovery gear
You should probably have air down tools and air up compressor.
Best to air down for traction.
Not an official ONSC event, just extending an invite. The more the merrier.
No facilities in the 4wd portion of the beach but the entrance area does have restrooms and parking lot.
Fees and passes can be bought at the office there at the fort fisher area at the entrance of the 4wd beach.
Surf fishing requires an NC fishing license
I believe no alcohol is allowed but please do your own research.
beach closes at sunset
TENTATIVE PLAN ( very flexible)
plan to arrive around 9:00 am
Link up at the 4wd beach parking lot ( acces gate) at or around 9:00 am.
For those that want, potential convoy to fort fisher
Or just meet link up out on the 4wd beach.
Enjoy the beach
Depart the beach in the afternoon.
Air up tires
Eat dinner at a restaurant or head back home.
Post up if you’re interested in going.
Also, let me know if I missed anything or you have any questions.
