Different Kind of Heated Seat Question (1 Viewer)

I have no experience with apolstry, and wanted to get another opinion before starting something potentially dumb.

So, I already have the factory JDM heated seats in my cruiser, but the 34 year old foam is starting to crumble. I was able to pick up another set of JDM seats in better condition, but they aren't heated.

My original idea was to frankenstein the 2 seats together, by adding the heaters to the better foams. Will this work? Or will I end up with 2 ruined sets of seats.

Hog rim pliers will be your friend. The copper rings that hold everything together just about require that tool. I didn’t buy the specific pliers and boy did I pay for it in pinched fingers and mangled rings. It can be done without those pliers but for two sets of seats……would be a bit much for me. Also, resell the seats with better foam and just purchase now foam for the seats.
