For reasons that are very personal to the organizers of this event, we will be adding a charity to our event this year. We hope you’ll join us in not only a weekend of trail riding, evening gatherings around good meals, and overall socializing but also in our efforts to raise as much money as possible for THE ALS FOUNDATION.
This will be the first year in which our event will not be free and we’ll have a formal registration period which will open in early July. Another first for us will be the fact that we will be a TLCA sanctioned event and all drivers (and only drivers) will be required to be members of the TLCA. We will also be purchasing group insurance through the TLCA (another first).
For those of you that have attended our event in previous years, you’ll recall that we have always met at a local restaurant on Thursday evening. Recognizing that a restaurant setting isn’t the best venue to meet fellow attendees, we’ll be providing all evening meals at the organizers cabins this year. These meals will be included in your ticket price.
We have priced the tickets at what we feel is adequate to cover the insurance and meal cost for 3 nights while leaving enough “meat on the bone” to make a sizable contribution to the charity.
As with previous years, this event is focused on the 70 Series Land Cruiser however
all series of Land Cruiser are welcome to attend. There will be a registration cutoff at 50 vehicles.

3) Although this is billed as a 70 Series event, ALL LAND CRUISERS are welcome to attend.
4) Registration will be capped at 50 vehicles.

For those who are not members of TLCA - is the Online Only Membership of the TLCA is good enough?

also, here is the link for the registration for ease

I’ll try to get you an answer today.
Although the registration process may appear to be functional, the host will be in the ”testing” phase until 07/05.

Edit: (From TLCA’s Eastern Rep) ….. You only get the digital copy of ”Toyota Trails” and not the physical magazine but are considered a member in good standing.

“Reefmonkey“ was kind enough to host the shirt sales (a number of styles and colors)

for this event. We are not directly involved in the shirt sales however a portion of the sales will go to the event and therefore to the ALS Foundation.

Simply tap on the Red Hills Land Cruiser logo to view the collection. 😊

One of the questions I received today……..
”For those who are not members of TLCA - is the “Online Only Membership” of the TLCA good enough?
———————————————————————————————
Answer: (According to a TLCA rep) - You’ll be considered a “member in good standing” but will only be eligible for the digital copy of ”Toyota Trails” and not the physical magazine.

Yep, already registered. The registration tool seemed to work fine, but the references to picking up tickets were amusing.

“Amusing“ is good, right? 😁

Werewolf!

There wolf, there castle.

So many great lines and potential for tailoring to the event ... will you keep to the movie references coming in all futures event comms?

"
Walk like this" becomes "Drive like this"

A REMINDER:
*There is an “early registration” discount that ends in late July. (Think of it as getting that extra egg free) 😁

*There is a 50 vehicle limit this year.

We got off to a good start today with early registration …. Thanks everyone. 👍

How good?

... for those that have already registered and the truck limit is of no concern.

It would be a very good start for the 1st year as a TLCA sanctioned / Red Hills sponsored event to have participation levels at or even exceeding 50.

Larry,
Our “participation” levels are directly related to the number of volunteers we have to guide groups and as such we are erring on the side of caution. 😊
Perhaps the numbers can be tweaked at some point if more volunteers step forward.
Thanks

….. A PLACE TO LAY YOUR HEAD EACH NIGHT ….
Windrock Park has cabin rentals (subject to availability) as well as camping areas. The city of Oak Ridge (approx 15 minutes away) has numerous hotels.

A Breakdown Of Cost……. Where your hard-earned money is going.
* TLCA Insurance
* Food for 3 nights (your organizers and volunteers will handle the cooking chores where necessary)
* Misc cost (window decals, advertising cost, etc.)
** EVERY PENNY THAT IS NOT REQUIRED TO COVER THE ABOVE COST WILL GO TO THE ALS FOUNDATION.

IN RESPONSE TO A COUPLE OF EMAILS:
Yes, this is a “family friendly“ event and you are encouraged to bring the whole gang.
Well behaved dogs have even been known to frequent our events. 😁

JUST A REMINDER:
This is a TLCA sanctioned event and all drivers (and only drivers) will need to be members of the TLCA. You will be asked to provide a membership number during the registration process.
Thanks
