Hi All:

Simon, nice rig!

Yes, 70 Series leaf springs are a good and easy swap onto a 40/42 Series!

Alan

does 70 leaf spring ¨stock hzj 73¨ on a bj42 1982 bolt on or not merci

Not a direct bolt on. Both the front and rear springs are longer than the 40 series springs. They can be made to fit with not all that much work, and the wheel travel and articulation are improved.

In fact, it is fairly common in my area to use 70 or 60 series rear springs at both the front and rear end of a 40 series.

The rear spring on a 70 is the same as a 60 series, this will make them easier to obtain;)
