My wagon below in sig gets mileage ranging from 10l/100km to 18l/100km. These figures are directly related to engine RPM and overall speed. Cruising at 90km/hr I'm 10 to 12 l/100km. Doing crazy fast speeds of say 110km/hr I get about 15l/100km. These were on winterfuel.

Man I wish I had paid attention when they were trying to teach me the metric
system in grade school. :D
Thanks guys....

On Fuelly you can switch system in the bottom of the page or below the Fuelly logo, so choose what you like...

BTW, they didn't show us the US system, we had to learn by ourselves...

Driving in a way that would make my grandmother proud I am averaging
20 mpg ( roughly 11L / 100 kms ) so I guess that is about average. I had hoped that my HJ75 would do somewhat better.....oh well.:)
Thanks.....

I would be happy with that.I dont believe many of the figures stated on the net.

The front tank ( bio-diesel ) and the rear tank ( commercial diesel ) yield the same mileage. ( approximately 20 mpg ) unlike my neighbors full size Dodge which is averaging 13 to 15 mpg.:D

Honey badge don't care about fuel mileage

I've only driven 145 kms but my tank is down just less than a quarter tank. Don't know what my mileage is but I'm sure the grin on my face has affected the mileage to a degree:):):)

Thats about what my fuel gauge says, which means you get around 550 -600 per tank. If you have a rear tank dont expect much more than 500

You will find the Toyota diesels really come into their own in low range doing hard slog. Its then you see just how miserly they can be.

The best I got out of mine was when I first bought it and drove it 1300km or so home. It was on 31x10.5R15's then and I got about 9L/100km - I think that works out at about 26 Mpg? I haven't given it much thought since putting the 285x75R16's on, but it certainly won't be getting that!!!

Recently did 1500K trip towing 1900KG off road van averaged 18.4 mpg (Aussie). Truck is a BJ 73 with turboed 2H and runs 7.50X16 tyres. Terrain was hilly, well hilly for Queensland with highest point 4320 feet. I was pretty immpressed. Drove by the pyro.

Can anyone recommend what to check if my consumption is quite high? I'm averaging 14l/100km with my 2H 60. It's my daily drive and I do 100-110km max on the freeway...

Not smokey (single white puff on startup). Should I get injectors serviced?

An injector service seems to be the recommended approach by mechanics.

Also check your air filter.
Do you have a 5 speed manual? The lack of an overdrive, as in a 4 speed manual would also reduce your fuel economy.

Dragging brakes.
Lots of around town driving will also bring it down.

I only got 7 km/ltr when I did a lot of city traffic or towing something heavy.

That's what they do. If you want to save fuel, drive slower.

x2. I got 13-14L/100km when I had a 2H 60 series wagon at those speeds, which is about 17-18MPG in US gallons. That's average by what many others have posted. I am skeptical of the higher mileage ratings that some claim.
