I've only done expedition style wheeling... nothing too ecteme but it handles great. I absolutely love it. So far it's under weight but the springs seem fine even though.they are the extra heavies and I have air bags.... after adding water and my gear I expect.it to ride even better...

I have owned both motors. If you can get a 12ht get it. 2H is under powered. I would not tow with a 2h.

Cool ride, I must say. Just a few repair and upgrades to bring out its total awesomeness.

The 12HT is an AMAZING motor. If you can get one: get one.

It won't be a rocket ship on long uphill climbs (at least, it won't be if you install a pyrometer), but it won't be a dog either.

I don't have a 1HD-T (I'm sure I will someday), but to date, the 12HT is hands down my favorite Toyota motor.
