I just wanted to post up some pics of my recently aquired trailer goods. i found that Koito still offers this 7 pin unit so I picked one up. I'm debating where to install it but leaning towards putting a large hole in the rear crossmember for it. Where did the original bracket reside on the early trucks??

Nice! I have a feeling you'll have a few requests to source these.

Do not cut! Bracket is simple and bolts to the bottom of rear frame. One of us can pattern it for you.

annie's is in the same spot. bracket is simple

The hinge of the cover is usually stamped WARNER 11935B and the rear domed cover over the wires is 110634.

Very cool Pete! Pm me on the parts you need... I know what we can trade for ;) I know you wanted the shifter parts but I saw you made have found them already.

This is the OEM application for that plug.

Sir, You are a genius. Thanks for the info.

While there is a coolness factor to this seven pin plug I wouldn't use it in the US. There is a standard seven pin connector that comes on trailers and vehicles already. Don't want to go away from standard for either borrowing a loaning a trailer. Any Land Cruiser that came to the US with this style of huge round plug was not a vehicle I would be pulling a trailer that required brakes. If you can't find the correct four pin and use this because it's the correct size is another thing. Or if this is the standard in Japan or other countries then it's great find.

The eye bolts for the pintle hook is another matter since those were imported here. As for those I have variety of parts willing to trade. You can ship them here inside a mid wheelbase LX 4X series.

BJ are more common and the 44 series as well as the earlier 43 series were also wheel base. I would have thought with so many varieties of mid wheel 4X we would have got at least one to the US. If I didn't have so many other projects I would be keen on getting a mid wheel base. Still kicking myself for not bidding on the early FJ43 soft top that came up on eBay in Australia a few years back. As for RHD I should have everything I need to switch to LHD with OEM parts I already have. I did just buy a non project 3rd generation 4Runner with coil springs and independent suspension up front. My back likes the softer ride than leaf springs. In Australia I believe they are called Surf. Not sure if you got them in New Zealand?

I just pass on the links I find. You never know if there is someone on this list as crazy as I am for overpriced oddities.

Search eBay for "GPW socket" or "Willys triler socket" and you'll find some cool stuff.

I am curious if the OEM 4 terminal sockets were Wagner. Can someone post up some pics of their sockets front and back?
