I did inform comeup the day after it happened. Figured maybe they’d help me replace the controller, motor, winch line, wasn’t really sure. Had to cut out the center section of my bumper just to allow enough play in the winch line to free spool...

So you are going to replace just the bolts? Or you are doing a head gasket? You can reuse your head studs if they are in spec, you need to measure them with a micrometer. Or you can replace them still readily available through Toyota, partsouq...

I may be talking out my keester but I think most head bolts are torque to yield or some such thing and need to be replaced. Pretty sure Toyota still sells the head bolts and ARP has stud and nut alternatives that work in the 1FZFE. Maybe post up...

I could be wrong, but if it is US delivery, the '98 part would be on the v8 uzj in the 100 series. Makes sense that it would have a different connector.

Any Toyota dealer should be able to get that sensor (88790-60050) for you.

agreed, I stripped the screw head not realizing that JIS even existed, what a pain.

Also, as the OP says, don't forget to order the o-ring. It is a separate part that doesn't come with a new IAC. I believe it is 90079-60004 I learned about JIS fasteners working on Japanese motorcycles wondering why my screw heads kept getting...

Does anyone know the thread pitch for the fasteners that attach the side brackets that hold the radio to the structure under the dash? (Not the ones that go through the bracket into the side of the radio) I don't have a radio, and am trying to...

The newer version of the IAC works on the earlier 1FZ-FE engines. I run the newer one on my '94 for the same reasons you state. The fasteners are JIS not Phillips. Using the correct bit or driver would save people a lot of headaches.
