At least the pages are opening. I still don't think it's a quick as the last few days.

Woody, this video was take a few minutes ago. Still kinda slow for me:

Saturday & Sunday - site is balky!

I have changed nothing in my browser and yesterday and today the site wimps out. This has only occurred after the new upgrade and I really have no idea what is causing it. I had to go to the homepage of ih8mud a couple of times to navigate to the help corner because it would not display from the open the link on the general forum page and/or I could not get to the general forum page from rChat. Must be Gremlins as I posted up in TUT a little while ago.

It is almost as if a denial of services attack is underway. It does not matter which browser that I use or which provider, computer or whether the firewall and virus prevention software is on or off.

When I go to a new page the site often times out before it will load the page. Many occasions the site just stopped loading in mid-page. I tried FireFox, IE7 and even an old Netscape 7. I have made no changes in the browsers but the problems persist. This has happened on mid speed DSL at my shop on one provider and two of the browsers on three different computers. It has happened at home on two other computers and three different browsers.

All the other sites are popping right up. Have tried rebooting, disabling internet security software and everything... it was fine earlier this morning but the problem is back. It is most frustrating when I have tried to post and the post disappears into the timeout and cannot be retrieved. I have started copying the posts onto clipboard before hitting the submit button because I know how much you all enjoy reading what I type.

DD noticed the same thing in the Houston area on his aircard.

Those of you having this problem who are using firefox, especially those of you that are computer savvy, try installing this extension and see if you can get it to tell you what is the culprit. I'm betting on an ad component or something...

Like I said, I'm slow with Firefox, Exploder, Mozilla. The video was taken of Exploder.

Right, and are you slow in the same spot on the page? This would lead me to believe it is a linked component causing the problem. I load a page in about .5 seconds or else I would do my best to figure out what is causing it, but I can't reproduce the issue :(

Woody, digitalpoint also seems to be a top offender, typically taking longer that 1s to complete it's requests. I don't know which ads it controls, but it may be worth looking into optimizing.

Also, what's the deal with rotate.php? Why is that taking over a second to load? Is that a custom script or something you got from somewhere? It seems bloated, it should be a blindingly simple script that takes almost no time to execute.

Er, obviously - NOT YET... full page display is dreadfully slow... the black background is coming up but it is VERY tedious waiting for the text and banner ads to display.

I get the background and the top section super fast and then the rest of the page takes a long time to load. In the bottom left I get the message "Done - with errors on page" Message in box says error is null or not an object

23 seconds the first time and 22 seconds the second time from the time the quote button was fully depressed and the page started to change until the text box for the message submission was fully displayed on screen on Mid speed DSL seems a bit lagged to me.

I know Mud forum was slow, but I am experiencing 20 to 30 seconds delay to open each individual page on the site, is anyone else getting the same problems.

I thought it was my pc at first and have been rebooting pc and modem router

Testing, not getting the same problem with firefox. In fact it is super fast.

I am getting the same error with both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Explorer

Something is choking explorer

Same thing here. Page doesn't download for several minutes.

Probably took me 5-6 minutes just to post this.

Not good, I'm having IH8MUD withdrawal symptoms.
