Body is in good shape. No rust, no major dents. There is one dent on the rear passenger quarter. A few brush scratches from back country exploration. Never wheeled hard.
Same meticulous owner for the last 15 years. Kept a very detailed log book, only bought top of the line parts and maintained the cruiser extremely well. Always stored in a car port.

I'm selling the cruiser for the owner. He's a fairly private guy and doesn't like people going to his house. Besides, he lives on an island that requires a ferry ride .....

Truck is here in Stockton CA. current registration, current smog and clean title.

$16k

Dent on rear quarter panel. This rig has been on extended trips to Death Valley almost annually.

I thought the price was reasonable considering that the truck isn't perfect but it is a turn-key "expedition vehicle".

What are the miles on the whole truck? Gave miles for Engine etc, but not the truck.

Also, what year is this truck? Does it pass SMOG in California? How does that work?

Thanks!

I'll get the exact mileage tomorrow.

Yes, it passes smog and has the appropriate referee sticker. I'm not going to get into a detailed discussion about smog laws in CA but basically, you can transplant a newer engine from a 1/2 ton rated vehicle as long as you also install all the emissions components from the donor vehicle.

Thanks, Georg! Got it. That answers my question. I apologize, I caught the reference to the Cali Smog in the description after I posted the question. I see now you said that twice. My bad.

Nice truck.

Not a problem at all. Keeping it smog legal was one of the deciding factors when he chose the 383. It's a gm crate engine for a 1/2 ton truck.
The transmission has less than 800 miles on it. When we installed it, I also installed and rebuilt a split case from an 85 FJ60 with 112k miles on it. The original tcase had a very slight whine to it.
The rear diff was rebuilt completely when the air locker was installed.

Like I mentioned, the owner wasn't shy to rebuild things when need be. And to do so properly. He used to go to Death Valley almost annually. That place has earned it's name ....... so going there in an ill prepared vehicle isn't a great idea.

Georg,
Can you post pics of the interior? You didn't reference interior condition....seats, dash etc.

Interior is in solid shape. No cracks in the dash. SOR tuff duck covers and new seat cushions in the front. Rear seat in great shape and original. Carpets are good.

I'll try to post pics tomorrow.

Good call on Death Valley and being serious. I used to go there in an M1 Abrams.

Lol!

Yeah, I wouldn't mind taking one of those for a spin!!!! :steer:

Georg @ Valley Hybrids

The M1's were a lot of fun. Thinking maybe an LC might take me back to those days. Will give you a ring about this tomorrow. Thanks!
