sorry for the late notice - just decided

we are planning to go out on FR388 tomorrow morning, entering from the north - the exit is by Needle Rock State Park

meeting at the parking lot entrance to the Crave Creek Ranger station at 10am - the ranger station and parking lot will be closed, but the gate is set back from the road, allowing for some parking

I found the A/C leak, fixed that, and then made it leak somewhere else...

Sounds like typical AC and irrigation repairs...

well, turns out the real FR388 -as now marked by carsonites thanks to TRAL - is quite a bit away from that ridge trail we took on Christmas from the south that also comes out at the northern entrance to FR388 - will have to map it on Google Earth

not a whole lot of traffic - but LEOs were out: one FS law enforcement truck in Camp Creek Wash; Sheriff at Needle Rock, and another FS truck coming into Needle Rock from Rio Verde - don't know whether any of them addressed the illegal target shooting that was taking place off the paved road to Needle Rock - even at Needle Rock were not as many people as I would have expected on a Holiday weekend

saw some beautiful cactus flowers
