There are a few floating around in the US. Slee Offroad built two, the Shortbus and the Vlakvark.

Wow - those are great looking units. BUT, who would spend all the time and money on that six wheeled stretch 80? I wonder if it was set up as an actual 6 wheel drive? Anyone know....?

nope, 4x4. the other axle is just there to support weight.

Vlakvark's a sweet lookin ride! That 6 wheel job is strange. Reminds me of those 40 foot long SUV limos.

Welcome dude .. I just wiinder why ( fashion factor .? ) are so usuall those Ute in Australia .. Cruiser or Patrols ..

The reason i cut mine is for something a but different also now i have room behind the seats to put stuff unlike normal utes. Also the 80 series is alot nicer inside than the patrol utes and the 80 series has coils aswell.

i have seen a few 75 series utes with the proper 6x6 drive under them( not 4x6 and lazy axle) with drill rigs on the back

Yes I starting to get impatient haha but i need to find some 16x10's to put them on. The motor is a 1HDT which will be soon getting a water to air intercooler:D

Do you have any pictures of how they worked out the drive line and suspension on those?

Did Toyota make a 75 6x6 or were they all custom jobs?

no i dont mate this was a few years back but i did check it out to get from the rear diff to the middle diff it had a shaft over the top etc not through the back like trucks
these were custom made for the drilling company .6x4 are no good of road as soon as they rear wheels start bogging in the sand the very rear just sit there and make the middle diff float

this page has a few pix but not of the set uphttp://www.6x6australia.com.au/commercial.php

6x6 is pretty wicked! I wonder how they handle?

Please follow up with pics after tires mounted, etc.

Id like to see the final (or close to it) product - very cool and intersting rig.

Who's yellow 4 door ute? in the pics

This 4 door ute is more my style!, I would like to explore that design in total. Any rear pics? I want that front bumper, simple and finishes the front like a factory bumper, highly functional. Do you know who owns or built it?
