Hi I'm new here. I am from holland. I am 30 years old. I have been infected with the offroad since I was 13 years old. I had many 4wd cars. at the moment I am in possession of a suzuki samurai, but I plan to in future as the money allows it to buy a Toyota pickup model year between 1979 to 1988.

the cars that I've had are as before:

Suzuki Sj410 from 1980
Toyota Landcruiser 2.5 TD 1988
Range Rover 3.5 V8 from 1987
Toyota Corrola from 1994
VW Golf 2 from 1987
Range Rover 3.5 V8 from 1978
Suzuki Samurai 1.3 from 1990

'm still looking for the specification of an xtra cab. all info is welcome
especially images of this type of model is the original truckbed

Sincerely,

Branko

Welcome to IH8MUD...

I think what you are referring to as the original truckbed is what we call a pickup, and Toyota just called it the "truck" over here. People often refer to it as the mini truck or Toyota pickup. The Hilux Surf is known as the 4Runner here in the USA. It had three design prototypes that were made here in the USA with some kits sent abroad that get collectively known as the Trekker. Only the one made by Winnebago was really named the Trekker. Collectively they are the 0th generation of the 4Runner/Hilux Surf.

Also note that "generation" numbers get confusing between countries. Toyota Hilux - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia@@AMEPARAM@@/wiki/File:1953_Toyota_Model_SG_Truck_01.jpg" class="image"><img alt="" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/6/63/1953_Toyota_Model_SG_Truck_01.jpg/250px-1953_Toyota_Model_SG_Truck_01.jpg"@@AMEPARAM@@commons/thumb/6/63/1953_Toyota_Model_SG_Truck_01.jpg/250px-1953_Toyota_Model_SG_Truck_01.jpg has a somewhat realistic listing.

This is an 84 or 85 with a stock "north American" bed, Other markets had different styles...

Another 85 I think:

I hope you find your new truck soon! But I think if I were you, I would hold out for a double cab if they are available in Holland...

in the Netherlands it is difficult to find a model of this construction year. most have all been exported to Africa and if you find one. then you pay the prize. fixer-upper with a lot of work, you pay $ 7500 for, and with many welding, many missing parts. that are often the parts that you can not get here.

it looks like I want one now that I am forced to buy one in america

Then get one from the south west as the climate is dry and rust isn't much of an issue down there.
