Looking to see what the difference between the years is. Got a lead on one and not sure of the year. If any body has some pics of the early 70's fan shrouds that would be great.

Thanks

My understanding is 74 and earlier are sized to fit the smaller metal blade fans. 75 and later have a bigger opening to fit the larger plastic fans.
Sorry no pics...my 69 does not have a shroud. But I am pickin up a 75+ shroud this weekend hopefully as I am running a plastic fan now.

Interesting. I'm running a plastic fan non clutch on my 1/75 2F. Wondering if I need a later model fan shroud?

My 68 F135 engine had no shroud but had the metal fan, swapped in a 1976 2F & the radiator w/ shroud, it's a plastic fan, no clutch, the radiator support & bolts all were interchangeable, I can add a pic of the shroud when I get a chance, it's actually out sitting on a work bench right now since the motors out....

Awesome info. I just wanted to make sure the fan shroud I was looking at would work.

Thanks!

One "trick" I read on this board (and performed on my '74 F 1.5) is to split the fan shroud halfway up. This allows you to take it off without pulling the entire radiator.

I just made two small cuts through the sheet metal, and then made two little plates that reattached the halves of the shroud together to keep the vibrations down.

The bolts that hold the shroud to the radiator frame do most of the work of keeping the shroud in place.

It was a good mod.
