2000UZJ, you're runnin' a lot of rake—are you going to crank those TB's?

No, I have stock torsion bars. Main reason I have a large amount of rake is (1), I am sitting nose down a hill, (2), I am keeping the amount of travel up and down the exact same. Makes it nicer on large bumps rather than bottoming the shock out or running out of droop.

The picture makes it look a lot worse, there is about 1" total rake

That looks great. Really like the KM2s.

Do they rub? How close are they? I am driving a friends 80 with KM2's and they are great. This will be my next tire. Hopefully Santa is on mud and can read this. I have to decide between 305 and 285. Decisions, decisions!

How noisy are they? Say, in comparison to a BFG All Terrain? (I know they'll be louder, just how much?)

There is not much room, they are very, very close to the A-Arms but they do not rub, I cannot tell if they rub on the frame or not. I could not tell if my 295's rubbed but they did. I will find out tomorrow as I drive in the city more.

I drove a little over 300 miles today on them right after leaving the tire shop. All I can say is be prepared for more road noise. My A/T's at 70 were almost silent. The KM-2's at 70 are very noisy. I have uploaded a video for you showing the road noise on a perfectly smooth highway @ around 80MPH.

It's not the best video but you will get a better idea.

Looks awesome, I think the semi gloss black wheels looks better than the matte black that you painted originally

met up with pman to see his beefy Michelin's :flipoff2::flipoff2::flipoff2:

his 275's totally rock my KM-2's world ;p

ok, so I went out today. Pulled in and stopped, I could smell the rubber it was so hot. I am running 35PSI and went to 40PSI.

Not many people are running these yet, what would some of you suggest? if I get any replies....

Looks tough

The new kicks look good! I ran those tires in a 35-12.50-17 on my 2008 Wangler and loved them on the street and trail. What side profile are your 305's ....65,70,75?

305/70. I ran 295/75 BFG AT's and they were ok. Nothing spectacular. These just plain kick ass on the street. Can't wait to break them in at RiverRock

What is the max recommended pressure? I always run max pressure on the road. For my TG's I think it's around 44psi max IIRC, so I hover right around there.

Going from 35psi to 40 should help with the heat issue, but if you have room to inflate them more, I'd do it. Also, not that gas mileage is a huge concern with rigs like these, but airing them up to max does make a difference...every little bit helps.

airing to MAX cold pressure could easily put you to a point where only the center of the tread pattern is touching the road. you want a nice even contact patch for the best tire wear and handling.

I'll probably get some chalk and experiment tomorrow or Monday
