COOL BUILD!!!

That is a nice trailer. You sure do build great stuff while keeping the garage spotless! I am so envious.

How long did it take you?

Thank you. The bed is 4' by 5'. The bed is 17" tall. All in all, I am figuring about $500-600 for the build. :cool:
 
looks great! one question- why no gussets on the tongue? is it light enough that it won't twist/bend?

It actually is very light. I can move the trailer around with one hand when it's unhitched. But, I have not ruled out side gussets just yet, they may come later. ;)

I'm going to cut down the most beautiful tree I can find with a 10 HP chainsaw and use a log. :rolleyes: :D :D :D

I'm actually planning on making some drop down legs on the trailer. This weekend I am just going to wing it. :cool:

Self-tapping sheet metal screws for the plating. I found a unique locking door latch that is pretty stout for the latch. As you can see, it's concealed from the outside. Right now, everything is new (suspension) so it's fairly firm. Had it up to 65 MPH today on the freeway and it handled fine.

Have you tried lowering your tire pressure at all?
 
As usual, you come up with yet another sweet DIY project! I have to say that I save your site in my favorites as I reference it quite often and shamelessly copy some of the work you do! Keep up the sweet project!

That is such a sweet combo. And the coolest part, if you built it for tons less than you would have paid for it.... You just keep raising the bar....

Your cost of $500 to $600 for the build, is that the cost of the materials only or your time plus material?
