Tim said he would likely be able to get it done before the end of the month. Now I'm stuck deciding if I want the Expo + or Exp0 ++. I think I like the looks of the + more than the ++ but I'm not certain.

I plan to do the same thing that I did with my side steps. Put them on the side of the house and think about throwing them away every time I walk past them.

With Geoffs 200 there might be more market but I just don't see mine selling or even me wanting to deal with what it would take to sell it.
I honestly doubt there's much of a market, but if they don't sell all it costs me to post them on ebay is the time to take the photos and post the ad (I have a stack of free ad credits). If they don't sell after a month I'll likely leave them in the alley and let the junk men claim them for whatever scrap metal is in them. The one benefit of having a finished basement but not having a garage is that I don't have the space to let stuff collect for any length of time without my yard displaying my redneck tendencies...

Started putting on my towers today and need a little help with something. Might be specific to LX470 guys, not sure. Had to take the roof channel trim off to access the front-most mounting point. Did you guys just leave the trim off afterwards? Dremel out a new hole and replace it? Find something else to put up there? Hoping to mount the rack to the towers tomorrow, but not sure if I should wait a day or two until I figure out what to do about the trim.

Rack looks DAMN good, by the way. And the other question I was going to have was if anyone wanted factory racks, but looks like that's been covered pretty well the last couple of days.

On the LC I left the plastic covers over the rain gutter as they still fit fine. For the feet, they're exposed. I was debating if I would get 6 of the blanking plates and trim them to cover the screws. It would be purely acsthetic though.

Ordered a new piece of ABS plastic and used the original Gamiviti fairing as a template, but extended it about 1-1.25"
On either side and about 1" longer at the bottom. Seems to cut down the whistling I got over 45mph with the sunroof open. This time I even notched the light bar tabs right. The only thing missing is a Gamiviti logo.

Picked up some oil-based black Rustoleum paint to touch up a few scratches the powdercoating received in shipping. I'll probably use it to paint the nuts and bolts as well.

Probably a little late now but wanted share some info I saw on another thread.

Member "fuge" I think installed a Gobi on his lx470 and gave a write up with pictures on how to expose the most forward mount and then reinstall the channel. If I wasn't in my iPhone is try to link it up.

Hope this helps and can't wait to see picks of it mounted up.

Thought I'd update the group. I posted the entire roof rack on ebay including bolts for $749 (which is half of the almost $1500 it costs to buy all the parts individually). No takers after 10 days. Reduced to $599 and after another ~5 days it sold (and oddly enough to someone who is in the USA). So evidently there is a market for your old rack if you're patient and don't mind the excessive ebay fees.

Nice! This makes me wonder if its worth listing my front bumper and running boards as well.
Probably. Bumpers especially - I imagine people bust them regularly in every country

Woah, now I wish I hadn't thrown mine out!

Good to know. How is shipping going to work?

I'm going to put it in a box and pay UPS to deliver it.

If you mean how will I box it, it all comes apart. I basically have an 8"x8"x4' tube for the rails and crossbars, and then a 1x1x1.5' box with all the feet, bolts, etc

Did you guys pick your racks up from the shipper using your LC? I don't hve access to a truck but want to get mine today. Anyone strap it to the stock rack?

That's exactly what I did. I was a little nervous about it but a couple ratcheting tie downs and it was fine.

Yep, I have two ratchet straps stored in the trunk. I was a bit nervous but they worked fine

I just picked mine up 30 minutes ago. I've got my RTT mounted with load bars I'm borrowing so I had to go home to get my trailer before I could pick it up. I'm not sure why but I don't know that I expected it to be as heavy as it is. I'm excited to get it mounted up (hopefully next week) when the towers come in.

It's on my way home with mine now. It doesn't seem excessively heavy from what I can tell.

It's too bad you couldn't get your towers today, Nate.

I installed my light bar and camp/reverse lights on my rack yesterday. Cross-posting from the 200-series forum:

What have you done to your 200 Series this week?

I also ordered a set of folding J-bars for our kayaks. That should be here tomorrow and I hope to get them installed before Friday so we can take the kayaks with us camping this weekend. Have I mentioned how much I love my Gamiviti rack?
