For sure! I actually have big plans for it.. hope is to keep it around 5k.Great start for $5k build. Misery likes company.
Thatās just normal and expected around here. 55s are weird and donāt fit in - just like their owners.definitely a character.

Does that say: J**ps are G*dā ??So, I was trying to be funny about the question, (probably failed) even though really do enjoy seeing this everyday in my backyard.. Truth is . It is going to be built into on of a kind 55.
It currently has a non finished 89 Chevy suburban 2500 drivetrain in it. D44 front, 14 bolt rear. TBI 350, 700r4 with NP205?? (Not 100%) has breaks and steering, that's about it, motor is just sitting, all electrical is toast, and floor is completely rusted out.
I actually got this from Kurt Williams about 2 years ago.. my plan was to purchase 80 series and do body swap.
Long story short. Got the 80, hated it, was also too clean to cut up, so sold the 80.
Freind of mine bought the tan Seqouia in my profile pic, rolled it.. I bought back, so it's the new donor. Just waiting for a couple other projects to finish then on to this. I'm super excited about it. I've loved, and wanted an FJ-55 since I was a kid.
Overall plan as of now..
Cut Seqouia down to fit the shell of 55 on top of Seqouia floor (55 floor is 90% rusted out) do SAS to custom driver drop 8.5" (same that's in the rear of Seqouia) with 80 series ends links, basically 80 front suspension because thats IMO, the absolute best part of 80 series.
Wheel base will be appear stretched, my measurements put the axle in a really good spot to get rid of a lot of the 55 overhang. So, hopefully, just opening up the wheel well will get it done.
37' tires and the usual lockers gears.. probably do crawl box, or atlas. Idk, just want to get it driving first.
I'm sure the plans will change, I'll hit all kinds of challenges, but hopefully in the end, I'll have a 55 that Wheels as good as an 80, with power and comfort of a Seqouia. Wish me luck..
(I do plan on getting the motor running and seeing if it drives before ripping it all out, so if you're interested, it will all be for sale)

Says "Jeeps are for girls" this is how the rig came, I haven't touched it. I do not condone anything written or drawn, so hopefully doesn't offend anyone.. These days, never know. It will all be removed once I start the project.Does that say: J**ps are G*dā ??
