not really. mine really fit on nicely. i didn't clamp the underside at all, just put a board with a few bricks across the top. it does have to kind of clip up into place.

I haven't even glued mine down. Thought about just leaving it as is because it fits so well. Just snapped in. Will probably glue it eventually as the sun could warp it.
