If anyone has any suggestions on things I *should* do or that you *would* do when my truck is in this condition…please post them.

While you have the headliner and all glass etc out you should clean out and reseal the roof gutter/drip rail seam. You currently have access to both sides of the roofline seam to seal and treat with some type of rust prohibitor.

Numerous threads on the topic. Use the good stuff.
 
you are doing some great work! Did you replace the inner axle seals when you had the hubs off? didn't see them in the parts photos
