Is that one belt running the whole shebang, and a bungee cord battery hold down?

Jeremy

No and yes. two belts running the rig and yes the battery is being held a bungie cord. If i can get it to run long enough to warrant it i will get a new tray.

as for the alternator and ac loction it was like that when i bought it. The guys at toyota were stumped as well but they havent seen it in person.

i'm not the best at getting car carbs in tune. On a small engine i can tune them to perfection.

Once you get to the point you want someone to do it and do it right the first time there is a guy that works with me that has been doing carbs for the past 40 years.

He also does AC!

Much cheaper than most shops as well, i'll check with him but i'm pretty sure i can get him to give UC discounts. Not sure of how much, just depends on what the job needs.

I need to get this solved once and for all. I don't think there is anything wrong with the motor. Talk to your guy and get back with me. I have a small once a week side job this summer that i can make a little extra cruiser $$ on. I want to get a trailer so i can haul my mower but the thing needs to run 1st. Then i got to put a ball on my bumper.

I've seen a lot worse 2f motors run a lot better. It will all eventually come together. I'd love to come help you right now but I'm in the middle of a bath install as well as a friend of mine has roped me into doing a header swap and lift on a bronco for him for the next 2 weeks.

thats ok. I am going to give the weber one more try then if it does not work i will probably just buy one from u. My patience has its limits.

had it runing for a couple of minutes today. Pretty sure it is the carb. Could see gas spew out of the top. Something in there is stopped up. I can take the carb off no problem but taking the actual carb apart is a different story.

Yeah I second the HAMOM.....no sense in you throwing money away when we got plenty of guys that can help diagnose the problem and help ya get your engine situated.....the only thing I would look into changing is your carb.....I'd get one of Marshall's carbs and that would help your situation out a lot.....I ran a weber and never had luck with it....stock is the best way to go.

I've got the same Weber on my Jeep. Always ran good and cranks right up. There's not much inside them like an Aisen. I would say there is a piece of trash stuck in the needle and seat. Make sure you change the fuel filter often.

You really need a HAMOM. You might actually have Chuck beat on that setup. Most likely the carb needs to be rebuilt. It's not terribly hard. I'm still trying to figure out how you managed to swap the locations of the alt and A/C.

my guess is that is an aftermarket a/c,,, is this an early 60? I have an 81 that is the same way

If it's spewing out the bowl vent holes that means your float is stuck. Do you have a fuel filter on the fuel line?

i am not sure if i have a fuel filter or not actually. Gonna have to wait on a new carb right now. IF i do a HAMOM it will have to be later this year.

someone told me to try to run a can of sea foam and see if it works something out of the carb. Should i try it? If is is just trash would it get it out?

i'm gonna try to rebuild it one more time. How do i know what jets i need to run?

so i poked around inside the carb today. Saw nothing that didnt look like it didi not belong there. Found no trash i carb. Sprayed everything out with carb cleaner and still no dice. Starting to wonder if it is not the fuel pump after all. Last time i checked it it was sending fuel but i dunno. Maybe it is not sending enough. Gonna have to figure it out soon cause it is gonna cause me some problems this summer with a small side job that would give me some extra cruiser $$.

took the carb completely off today. Took it apart and cleaned it the best i could. Didnt do any good. I do not think that it is the carb now.(unless i just @#$%#@ it up that is)!! Could be a massive aire leak somewhere or something.

well my temper got the better of me today. Apparently weber cargs were not given a distance test at the manufacturing plant.

I have a crack in the intake as well apparently directly under the carb. So tempted to let it sit rest of the year and save $$ for engine swap.

I got some thinking to do.
