Looking great!

U may be able to salvage your old side emblem that's rattle canned white, by soaking a rag in lacquer thinner and rubbing off the white paint from the old bling. Be make sure the emblem isn't near a painted surface when u do this though.

Question: what is that little contraption on the passenger side just above your bumper? Is that some sort of anti thievery device? That's slick, pls post details or link.

The winch looks nice with the new sticker, as does the whole grill area etc.

These were spray-painted white, and I quickly uncovered the bling. Eventually I'll spend some time unearthing the black paint in between the letters.

Maybe u can sell the old ones once fixed up... Or attach them to your favorite spot that u find yourself sans-cruiser... Cheers

FYI, the pink is actually rattle can red that I'm stripping off of my truck to unearth the glorious factory baby poop...653 olive green, it's been a real bear of a project but very fulfilling.

Funny I didn't even think that the emblem might be spray painted duh. Mine is all silver. I will see if I can do that. Thanks!

Here is the theft contraption:

http://www.tuffyproducts.com/p-161-security-bolt-locker-for-winches-other-bolts.aspx

I have one on my winch and one below the bumper to secure the bumper. Probably overkill and as I read somewhere, they'd probably just steal the entire vehicle. But I figure it is some cheap insurance on that front end of stuff.

No more exposed primer on my Cruiser!!! Monumental day!

Also, I am a pro at making sure body and paint work have that nice patina look from the start. Perfect body work and paint would just look silly... :)

Definitely have a great appreciation for people who do body work and do it well. Paint hides nothing lol.

Good for now, maybe someday I'll get this thing painted. For now I'm happy with the patina look.

So my Cruiser now is 1 year old to me! Happy birthday! Pretty much done now with the cosmetic stuff for awhile. Still need to do some stuff under the hood and underneath. But it sure has come a long way! Couldn't have done it without MUD! Thank you all for your support and knowledge! Been a fun ride!

Would it be possible to retrofit an LED onto your inspection light?

When I get home I'll check it out - I'm driving with the fam in the Cruiser! Dinner now dessert!

Okay looks like this one would work: https://www.superbrightleds.com/mor...d-bulb--dual-intensity-26-smd-led-tower/1326/

It is brighter as well - the bulb number on the inspection light is 1073 - 12V/23W - lumens run in the low 400 range it appears. The LED is 540. Those 1073 bulbs are super cheap at under a $1 each. Not sure if the upgrade is worth it.

Well some people are getting cold at night riding without the doors so I decided to reinstall for now. Thought I would put a light coat of paint on the driver's door to make it look a little better. Not perfect but none of my paint is so it should be a good match! :)

Great looking cruiser! Been checking on your progress off an on for a while here. You have done a ton of work in the last year. Nice job!

Well not sure what is on my mirror but it isn't coming off. I think at one point the exhaust pipe was pointed right at it when I had the doors off. Who knows. There's another $25 down the drain.

But at least I found another project after taking the mirror off. Time to get out the rust converter and T145 rattle can again.

Nothing like painting at 8pm at night. Still super warm out. Custom patina paint job. Pretty soon I'm going to open a shop advertising that... Yeah not really.

And started the rust treatment of the mirror:

Filled a couple of small rust holes with that stuff!

With this crazy warm weather painting into the evening is a reality. Decided to spray my mirror. And new stainless screws. Now I definitely need to do the other side. Oh and get a new mirror cut to fit.
