I'm very interested also.

Count me as interested, I am trying to add a rearview camera to replace my mirror as I have a bunch of s*** in the back of my truck and can't ever see anything.
Toyotas mount is difficult to work with and there are no 3rd party mirrors that fit with the mount.

I’m in the same boat. Fridge and other junk has me worried every time I have to reverse. I’m in for one.

I'm in for a purchase as well from Wits end! Would be fantastic. Will be the cleanest install for sure!

2005 LX470 here. In the meantime, I fabricated this mount from several pieces and used a Dremel to cut the mirror cord wire an exit and the 4th corner off the mirror mount for the same reason. 3 screws should be fine. Ram ball mount, 67 designs nano mount with 20 mm to 1" ball. bulletpoint mounting adapter ball 22.5 mm to 20 mm. The factory silver mounting plate takes 2 M3 machine screws. I used an auto-vox mirror and did some custom fabricating on it to make it work. You can also do this without fabricating the mirror by using a ram ball motorcycle mount with M4 machine screw and washer to go into the mount that comes with it and a ram mount arm but it makes the mirror super long and hangs down too far IMO.

notice the pics comparing OEM monitor and new mirror are at nighttime and then the reverse light and function is used to auto tilt down and shows guidelines and produces a perfect image. NO blind spots when using the new mirror with it's super wide view and side view mirror. Great solution for those that want a full time rear view camera display. This camera also has a dash cam on the front as well.

@HTXLXCRUISER Genius! Thanks for sharing. Do you get any wobble from the ram base at the windshield mount?

zero wobble. one pic shows it mounted with excess at the bottom. I switched that to the top for the final install and either way it's super snug. it really mounts nicely and that ram ball was used due to the multiple holes. I'm certain you can use a square or other ram mount if you want to drill holes to make it work. dealing with such small tolerance of M3 screws, I didn't want to do that. I'll use blue loctite after I test this for a week to make sure it stays put.

Again would rather have wits end custom metal fabricated mount so it looks factory and not quite as long but this will do until he gets that done. where there is a will there is a way. cost me about $75 in parts plus the mirror plus $500 in time and labor researching and testing a solution. ha!

also highly recommend mounting the camera to the lift gate and not the tailgate due to leaning in to get things out and nudging the camera if you mount it down there. (I need to move mine as I installed it on the license plate for easy access to the reverse light). Just run the cable through the factory wire harness and the reverse red wire back down through the factory harness to the corner and then to the factory tailgate harness to the reverse light unless you are a magician and know which wire is the reverse wire in the back left bundle of cables. I took the surefire route and another 30 min routing cables.

Brilliant install!
I get wobble from the original Gentex version, quite a bit of jumping around just driving on the highway and I don't see any easy way of adjusting the tension without
modifying the mount with screws or the likes.
