Necota, is that something you got custom made locally in ATL? Cant wait to see it.
Yes. Meshack originally modified his own (based on experiences in Kenya), knowing that it was a cross-member meant we had a solid frame to utilize. He essentially purchased a Jeep carrier and then welded to the cross-member. I am really satisfied with it. I was hoping to be there for your class this weekend, but we have to do the second round of mods (electrical, sliders (which finally arrived), and ARB fridge install.
Very Niiice. Envy over here. This weekend is the 202 class, a lot of winching and recovery with other equipment. This is the advanced class after 101, winching, and hilift classes where everything come together, including vehicle rollover. The weather is going to be perfect too in central NC mountains! I will be using my fridge for the first time, I got one of those $100 rejects from pharma, they have a good review. I just have never needed a fridge for long weekend trips. Sliders and winch you would definitely need for the 202 class. It is design for maximum "stuckness" and self recovery.

That' looks really good. I have been following you guys since I bought my LC last year October. I love the vids, they inspire me. I would like to maybe see a list of parts used. I love the look of it
@Necota This is cool man, I'm going to try and DIY something like this on my rig. What spindle was used in this build? I'm contemplating using a "sleeved pipe" hinge (not sure what else to call it) and installing a zerk fitting to keep it greased. Not sure it will live up to the torsional requirements of the load when the arm is fully extended, but it should be fun bench testing it.
Do you happen to have the measurements of the "bump outs" from the cross member handy? I'm still working on what the lengths should be.
I will too........as a guy who got in on the last group buy[which almost didn't happen either] before NLXTACY[Joey] took over the plans-etc for the tire carrier, I know how much goes into building these things, and its not easy coordinating all this, if it was we would all build our own.........

Not yet. To my knowledge, Joey hasn't promised to build these. But that having been said, I imagine when he acquired the design he had the intention of producing them.

I will also add my name to the list of those willing to drop a deposit once you find suitable manufacturing and get some other stuff off of the shelves.
