Wire Connector (1 Viewer)

Curious if anyone can tell me where this wire connector goes? The other end connects to the oil filter base. It seems to be the perfect length to connect to the distributor but I cannot seem to find where it actually goes.

What year is your 40? Does the red wire have a stripe? Looks OEM.

If it is for your '77, the red wire comes from the igniter to the dizzy.

Actually now that you mention it, it was from the Ignitor. I removed the points and went electronic last year, and forgot about the wire. Thanks for the memory jog. I have a good memory, but it's short.
