Wiper multifunction switch: model compatibility

I need to replace the wiper switches on both my 1995 and my son's 1994.
1994 p/n: 84652-60730 -> NLA, according to Toyota
1995 p/n: 84652-60770 -> available

Before I go Japanese part shopping, has anyone replace the earlier part number with the later one?

@slow95z do you have either/both of these? Can you confirm they are interchangeable or not?

i have both of those but cant confirm the numbers. i just know i have both style dashes which use different combo switches.

they are different styles because of the airbag, not sure if you cant swap them or not. never tried.

Makes sense that the airbag would cause problems.
