thats bs, mine was 250 out the door with rain sensor, heat defrost area, radar cruise has nothing to do with it and still works fine.

called both dealers near me and the BOTH farm out the replacement to a local glass shop. One that I spoke with said the ONLY difference in the glass was that it didn't say Toyota on it...same manufacturer, etc.

$410 out the door.

Here's the kick in the nuts...having the radar cruise recalibrated costs 2-2.5 hours of shop time...or in this case, $370. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

UPDATE: Just spoke with different glass company. Pilkington makes the OEM replacement that is suggested for my 2016...with rain sensing wipers and radar the number is $976 installed. WTF? How can there possibly be a difference between two different pieces of glass that more than doubles the original quote of $410 that I got? Someone has to make sense of this?

Is pilkington “oe supplier” or “oe replacement”?

My cruiser has a pilkington panel and in six months has two chips I think wouldn’t have happened with an original windshield.

Also whenever you get it replaced MAKE SURE they use OEM part for the upper rubber trim across the top. The aftermarket strip is usually responsible for the whistle that accompanies so many replaced windshields on 200s.

Thanks for the heads up on the rubber trim. I'm having my windshield replaced Monday. Will call them today and make sure they have it.
