I need a new windshield in my 86 and 91 mini pickups.Iwant to eliminate chrome trim .Does anyone know where i can get black moulding to replace trim?Local glass shop said it would be $150 and come in pieces.I was wondering of less expensive options?

A yard would be my only guess... You might check with CruiserDan to see what it is from the dealer, you might be surprised...
You can paint the chrome trim pretty easily. Sand it with 400 grit and then clean it with some grease and wax remover (e.g. SEM 38373). Then spray on about 6 or 8 coats of SEM 39143 trim paint in flat or satin. It dries very fast and you can recoat quickly. I used the satin and it looks pretty good. No primer needed (or recommended). It sticks better all by itself.
I ordered the SEM stuff online but I can't remember where. They make really good products and you can find examples of this trim paint being used on chrome all over the web.
