OCD question I know.
Were these windshield defrost vent guides painted from the factory? Looks like factory paint worn off the plastic in places.

Those were likely sun baked and faded, and "restored" with krylon...

I painted mine Duplicolor semi-gloss black 3 years ago. They still look great despite the Texas sun.
 
Mine have been off for some time for a total Reston but I believe the windshield has to tilt forwad to get em off.
 
tiny little plastic plugs - pull them out of the holes on the top to get the vents off. You will most likely have to buy some plugs to replace the ones that break.
 
How do these come off?
I had the same question. They've always been easy to take out in my truck.

Where do these tiny clips locate? My truck has a bad Maaco paint job that's filled up a lot of the smaller holes, etc.
