Your ride is really turning out nice!

Jason, were you unable to retain the old wheel or you just like the newer one better? My aim is 100% stock look other than under the hood. I'm not sure if I can get there but that's the plan.

thanks Mike I wish you had kept one of yours.

I wasn't able to retain the old wheel in that the horn connections are set up total different in the 60's wheels vs what I have installed in the lv which is a 77' steering column. I went with it because I had to go with a non solid shaft column in order to switch to saginaw ps. sorry there was no way I was goign to daily drive this with out ps did that before I live in a historic town with wierd narrow streets and tight parking spots. ther is a reason this is the smallest state in the union. anyway I digress.
Jason

all in all she runs pretty nicely much smoothier than the pumkin I mean than i had expected.

Dickhead.

That LV is junk. You need a 2008 V-8 turbo diesel half cut from AU to solve all those problems. Then it will be in the same class as the esteemed Pumpkin.

Makes sense. I've lived without power steering since '88 on the BJ60 so I'll continue on without though I'll admit that at times it is tempting.

Do you know anyone needing '45LV rear quarters? We're trying for a group buy to happen ASAP. Have interested folks PM me.

i had asperations of running 35" tires on Wilma. I htink Ihave come back a bit on that size but would love to ruan a 34"x10" or thre abouts in an AT/MT so I needed the ps.plus the purchase came with the Bob firestein front cross member that locates the saginaw box back a bit further. turning the cruiser with one hand is a very nice feature.one of those creature comforts that I did not want to do with out.

the only lv people i know of are on this forum. so hopefully they all know of your impending purchase.mine are in new shape now so i think I am good. how much are they going for per side?

got the family loaded up in the lv this week end and drop about 5 minutes down the raod to my parents. not too much left. should get the wiper linkage anyday now and they its just a matter of connecting it up and off she goes to get inspected .

i bought an austrilian H55 from salttic's container shipment so that will be nice to install when it gets here in February or so.

In the group buy it's for a pair at $350 + shipping (FOB Eshan in Pakistan). They will be shipped as a group to a central location stateside and then split up from there. If we are forced to buy the last set needed (we only need to sell one more set) to make it worth Eshan's time then that last set will cost whoever want's it at a later date significantly more than the $350 + shipping!

We're also looking to reproduce the rear tailgate sill too.

Here you go Jason, plug and play, with intermittent. :D I think this is a non-US 40 switch, a 60 wiper relay, and a 60 motor, lost track. Anyhow, it works and it's on the way.

That is a work of art Jim

its so beutiful I am afraid to put it under the dash it should be mounted on the wall :)
where to begin with the wipers. LCjunky sent me a complete motor switch and linkage which I decided to see if the motor ran and alligator clipped it up to my battery. took a few seconds and som coxing but sure enought it kept the beat .
now i have to figure out how to adapt the motor onto the lv linkage. I picked up another linkage assembly so now i hav ethe parts to make one system that as Jim said above runs off of a non USA fj40 switch that has the intermittant(fog) seting then slow then fast settings as well as the spray feature. so that is mconnected to a fj60 relay and then a fj60 motor. :)
i'll need to fab up a bracket that will mount to the linkage for the fj60 motor in that it mounts with 3 bolts an the stock is steup for 4 bolts then ther eis the matter of the motor mount spindle to the linkage arm itself. seems stock is a spindle with a flat edge that gets a set screw. while the fj60 is a threaded bolt so my thounts are to with a bench grinder flatten one side of the bolt spindle on the fj60 motor and mount tit like athe lv motor would be mounted.
regardsless i will hook up the stock system to run it through inspection in that there won't be any questions as far as the no wind shild sprayer. ie if the switch is set up for it where is it...

Twist to wash. ;) I figured you'd use an aftermarket pump :bang: so check with me on the wiring at the pump, because the FJ60 would have been two-wire grounded through the switch.

jim if it is not setup for a pump don not worry about it i tend not use mine in my fj62 much anyway i keep windsheild wipes int he car. I think I have the same fluid in the washer bottle aswhen I bought the truck 7 years ago. my only point being I ant to try and keep the inspector questions to a minimuim in that this will be the first time this has been inspected in my state. next time around it won't be a big deal because it already has had a sticker. that ismy thining anyway . but the lv did not come with washer fluid...

It's all set up Jason, don't worry, Wilma will be squirting in no time. ;)

jason, i haven't taken the time to read all the way through the thread, what suspension and size tires did you go with? i am still trying to decide with way to go with mine...

-mike

I don't remeber all the in's and outs off hand but 4" alcans and 33" tires

woohoo I am legal and inspected wilma is clear to hit the road full time now. bunch left to do but atleast it is a functioning project:)
Jaosn
