ok a few pictures
the first shot is of the body polt back down to the frame yeah!! anyway its is showing, sort of , the clearance of the tire and body on articulation it will tuck inside nicely.
next shot is a wide angle of the whole body on the frame. you can see I have started to jam the door frames next up is painting the lower river blue.
then I took a bunch of the under side of the new floors and other various work. last is of my tree house cause I like it

every year I plan to add on to it until eventually I kcan move into it next year it gets its second story. . . so much to do on the lv just one project at a time. . .thanks

ok been wicked busy with work and with the sox int he series I have been staying up later than normal but the sox were not on last night so I headed out to the garage for a few hors and got some stuff done. I taped off to jam the blue in the door jams and sills. man that took a long time it needs one more coat this morning and that should be done. I attached a pic from my phone I was actually surprised it took a somewha decent shot.
anyway I also tore into my front axle in that i want to ad a sky widening kit which for htose that are unfamilar it adds a 2" spacer between the wheel hub and the disk instead of the normal spacer that is just between the wheel and the wheel hub. it's a bit safer the sky widening kit way. So while my front axle came with disk brakes it also came with the ball and claw axle shaft setup. so now . . . . I geuss my plan is to build up an later model fj40 from axle.

ok got my camera home while its not great its a bit better than my phone so here are some paint jamming pics. I really like how it looks. I will be able to start reassembleing things and get it all together and then look at the final coat once its all together. so much work to do but its nice to see some visual progress.

I love the River Blue!! Mine was blue originally, and I was thinking of changing the color.......but WOW! I'm impressed with how this is turning out!

Thanks its been a bit snice I update need to get int he garage and take some pics I did not realize I had not taken pics of things in awhile...
anyway I picked up my rear lift gate from the glass shop yesterday i am pleased with how that turned out. it took some doing to get the glass shop on the same page in that the stock glass was not going to fit with the fj40 front windsheild gasket so he cut a new piece of safty glass. but that paved the way for them having to do the same thing for the side windows and cutting out the front windo from a template. i will hopefuly get those windows in early next week.
I had gotten side tracked a bit in that I went to bolt in my steering column and the motor mount and header were in the way wtf. so I ran the gamut of moving the ps box to moving the steering coulm to ditching the header i sent a bunch of help emails to so of the cruiser gods and started to research hotrod steerig setups. so I have ordered the flaming river parts to add an extra leg in my steering shaft set up. not ideally what I would like but in the end it will be a bit safer in that the extra ujoint in conjuctition with the collapsable shft will be much safer in an accident . . . not that I want an accident...
in the mean time I have phat matte the interior sad to see the floors disappear a bit and
and have installed the rear 2 doors.
my plan now is to spin the truck around int he garage and install the lift gate and tailgate and have the front end close to my work bench for the remainder of the build. it is more level int he garage toward the back of the shop so in a month when my rebuilt 78' fj40 front axle is ready to slide under I don't have to worry about the pitch
i will post some pics of the other stuff later

man I look at the last pictures I post and can start to see progress. wel sort of in the grand scheme of things stil a long ways to go.
anyway been fairly busy . i turned the lv around in the garage so i could have the engine closer to my work bench in order to start getting it running... i also installed the tail gate used all new hardware and got new captive nut clips for the tailgate panel.
wen tto install the lift gate and the metal on the lift gat that the hinge bolts too gave way on 3 sides on both higes. grrrr. so i need to fabricate new. I went back and forth on it and decided to take it to a welder who specializes in hot rods and classic cars and is cheap and will let me watch and learn. (I love those types) while i am sure i coul have done it unlike with all the other body work welding i have done i just did not feel like there was any margine of error.

uhmm no i deicded not to take them down last year. my wife has not been happy about it either but it was such a PITA to put them up in th first place. . .

i see that are a few people around that have been able to find lv's. i am new to sence as far as lv's go could you guys point in a good direction for a resto project rig?
