eBay Why I'm now hating my search for a decent 40 series...

all I can say is.. "Whats your I don't want to sell it price"

BTW I'm getting ready to sell a few of mine, I'm not looking to make huge profits.. just thin the herd.

Testament to the value. These cruisers are worth what people will pay and not a dollar more. It's frustrating to see what you "could have purchased" selling for double. All I can say is take the chance and pull the trigger, chances are it may be worth more when you're done using it? It is a Landcruiser after all.

Prices are all over the map, which makes it hard to buy. I've had a couple slip through my fingers because I couldn't move fast enough and one because I was a couple thousand below the asking price. I really wish I had bought that one!

Anything over $30k, IMHO, needs to be a pretty damned solid restoration or near perfect original and unrestored. The seller noted here may find some sucker but I don't expect anybody who knows these vehicles will bite.

HOPE SOMEONE BUYS IT!

? Isn't it the obligation of ever man to pursue income for the relief of himself and his family while doing something he loves? The way I see it, any person selling something can only garner that which another individual is willing to pay thereby identifying the value. What's with all the hate? As a society do we criminalize flipping houses? No! I'm a contractor and I don't charge for what I do, I charge for what I know. When selling a rehabilitated property I collect market value, no more, no less. I don't think it's fair to price the persons labor, they identified something they considered worth more than asking and took the risk and purchased the item. If they sell for a profit good for them. On the other hand, failure to disclose known issues would in fact be unethical.

Thought provoking, yes, unethical, not even a little.

I buy, restore, and sell these all the time. On #7.
Hell if I could buy one I didn't need to drop a couple hundred + hours in and double my money.... all day long please.
